Background

MetaCanopy is a community-centric ecosystem that provides resources for global humanitarian and environmental conservation projects through tokenized philanthropy. A significant portion of the ecosystem's revenue is allocated to funding initiatives and organizations that advance the United Nation’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), a collective global appeal to address pressing challenges. These goals emphasize the need for a multifaceted approach, where eradicating poverty and deprivation is intertwined with enhancing healthcare and education, bridging the inequality gap, and fostering economic growth, all while combating climate change and preserving the world’s oceans and forests.

Evolving from a group of entrepreneurs and cryptocurrency enthusiasts that had grown weary and disgusted by all the online scams, MLMs, pump-and-dumps, fake ICOs, sh*t coins, rug-pulls, and other scams that were out there, they felt they’d put up with way too much hogwash and decided they’d had enough.

They were done with the crap, but they weren’t done with cryptocurrency and the blockchain. The group understood the true potential of blockchain technology and cryptocurrency, how it has already begun reshaping the world of finance, and how its capabilities extend far beyond mere cryptocurrency. With its inherent transparency, decentralization, and security, blockchain technology can be used in countless other industries and applications. The blockchain already has many potential applications, including securing personal data, medical information, logistics, supply chains, data storage, gaming, real estate, and non-fungible tokens (NFTs).

It’s been 15 years since “Satoshi Nakamoto” first introduced the blockchain and Bitcoin to the world. However, blockchain technology is still in its infancy, and its future and potential uses are limitless.

Averaging nearly ten years of cryptocurrency experience, each and collectively having a multitude of other skills, knowledge, training, and education in areas such as network marketing, affiliate marketing, advertising, programming, digital security, quality system management, business management, risk management, and project management, just to name a few, the group knew they could do a better job of creating an ecosystem utilizing the latest in blockchain technology.

They set out to create a robust, quick, efficient, secure, transparent ecosystem with minimal transaction fees. It had to be designed with the community at its core, meaning it needed to be user-friendly, deliver an enjoyable experience, and provide services the community wanted and needed. These services include multiple decentralized platforms, i.e., NFTFi, GameFi, SocialFi, DeFi, a launchpad, and e-commerce. A token for governance and utility needs to exist between all ecosystem platforms. It must be both scalable and sustainable, and most importantly, it must have a real-world purpose. To do so, it must not only benefit the users of the ecosystem community but also do something meaningful in the world, i.e., by providing help to others less fortunate or those affected by disasters or war. It should also promote organizations and programs that are environmentally friendly and help improve life on Earth as a whole.

What began as a relatively small group of like-minded individuals unwilling to put up with garbage any longer has grown into a thriving, diverse, international community, working together in the realm of cryptocurrency and philanthropy to make a positive impact on humanity and the environment.
